Here I hope that you clearly expose your doubts about life itself and/or the answers that you consider best, and don't forget to explain your reasons.

I will start with a question that I often ask myself ...

When it rains while you are walking and you do not carry an umbrella, what is better to avoid getting as wet as possible? ... speed up or continue at the same pace?

Oh myth busters did an episode on this and I think they said it's better to stay the same pace. Me I'm lazy so I stay the same pace, I'm like ehhhh I'm already wet, what's a little wetter  :lmmfao:

The question I often ask is who the heck thought to do that. Especially around food and science. Like OK this plant is enidble, but wait what if we cook it?! Yay delicious! Me? I would have been hmmm no that's a hard no from me and wouldn't try anything else 😂

On Myth Busters episode 1 they say it's better to keep walking but they revised it on episode 38 and it  seems it's better to run...

I found this page explaining it: https://lifehacker.com/why-you-should-run-not-walk-in-the-rain-5970476
It proposes this formula : Total wetness = (wetness per second X time spent in rain) + (wetness per meter X meters traveled).

A proof can be done using the weight of people before and after going under the rain, walking and running a distance and testing also the time...  Anyone want to do it?

Being wet from the rain is subjective, too. It is hard to do an accurate study. Wind speeds, amount of rain over an area, your overall size, direction of travel, speed, etc. etc. There are too many variables to have an accurate and consistent real-rain test.

You can walk 2 block in a rain storm and get soaked. weight everything to get the total amount of water, change clothes and walk back and get a different number because the rain speed increased, or the wind blew in a different direction...

I run only if absolutely needed, or if the rain is too cold. Otherwise I am just gonna walk because I am already wet. :lmmfao:

Imagine a stadium and 100 people, 50 running & 50 walking under the rain to go from one side to another and back... same conditions to all. The biggest can increase their weight more than the smallest but you also can choose the people equal in both groups...

True, but that, again depends on the same amount of rain falling over every portion of that stadium. The rain needs to be consistent sized droplets, falling at the same speed, across the entire area.

I've seen my front yard get rain and my back yard stay dry. I watched once when the rain only got half of my parking space wet. The study can be done with relative understandable results. But I highly doubt it can ever be accurate enough to make such a determination. :wiggle:

:clap2: So further research with and equal and perfect shower on everyone is needed.
Our natural reaction is to run and Nature is wise... or not?
