Being wet from the rain is subjective, too. It is hard to do an accurate study. Wind speeds, amount of rain over an area, your overall size, direction of travel, speed, etc. etc. There are too many variables to have an accurate and consistent real-rain test.
You can walk 2 block in a rain storm and get soaked. weight everything to get the total amount of water, change clothes and walk back and get a different number because the rain speed increased, or the wind blew in a different direction...
I run only if absolutely needed, or if the rain is too cold. Otherwise I am just gonna walk because I am already wet.
